Convot is a help desk that includes a help center, changelog, roadmap, status page and scheduling in one subscription, from $49 a month for 3 seats, or free under $1,000 MRR. Featurebase covers the help center, changelog and roadmap, without a status page. The same stack bought separately cost about $213 a month at 30 September 2026 list prices.

Disclosure: Convot publishes this list and ranks itself first. Every competitor feature and price below comes from that vendor’s public pricing or product pages, checked on 30 September 2026. Where we could not find a feature, we say “we did not find it” rather than “it does not exist”, because product pages change. Each entry says where that tool beats us.

What the stack costs when you buy each piece separately

Of the seven platforms we checked, only Convot puts support, a changelog and a status page in one product; Crisp adds a status page only on its higher plans. A small SaaS team that stitches the stack together instead usually pays for four products: a help desk with a help center, a changelog and roadmap tool, a status page, and a scheduling tool for support calls. For a 3-person support team on list prices checked 30 September 2026, that stack costs about $213 a month.

Piece of the stackExample tool and planMonthly price, 3 people
Help desk and help centerHelp Scout Standard, $25 per user billed annually ($30 monthly)$75
Changelog, roadmap and feedbackCanny Pro, annual billing$79
Public status pageAtlassian Statuspage Hobby$29
Scheduling support callsCalendly Standard, $10 per seat annual$30
Total, four tools$213
Convot Starter, one tool1 app, 3 seats$49

A cheaper version of the separate stack exists on free tiers. Canny’s free plan includes feedback boards and a changelog for up to 25 tracked users, Statuspage’s free plan allows 100 subscribers, and Calendly’s free plan gives one event type. Paired with Crisp Essentials at $95 a month, that budget stack costs $95, but it runs across four tools, Canny’s free plan covers only 25 tracked users, and Canny custom domains start on Pro. We compare against Crisp Essentials because Crisp’s $45 Mini plan has no help center or AI chatbot; Mini is $4 cheaper than Convot Starter if you need neither.

Convot’s plan includes live chat, a shared inbox, a help center, a changelog, a roadmap, a status page and scheduling. Its AI agent, Cove AI, is metered on top at $0.20 per resolution. The other per-resolution AI agents in this comparison charge $0.49 to about $1.50 per resolution; Crisp bundles AI credits and counts automated conversations instead, which is a different unit. Convot also has a free Community plan for teams under $1,000 in monthly revenue, with the same stack for 1 app and 3 seats, without Cove AI and with a Powered by Convot badge.

Billing bases differ: Help Scout is priced monthly, while Canny Pro and Calendly are quoted at annual billing, so the exact gap depends on how you pay.

The money is only half the cost. Four tools mean four logins, four invoices and four places where a customer’s history lives. A support agent answering a bug report cannot see that the fix shipped in the changelog yesterday, or that the status page already shows the incident, unless someone copies it across.

Which support platforms include a help center, changelog and status page in one subscription?

Convot is the only help desk in our comparison where one subscription includes a help center, a changelog, a roadmap, a status page and scheduling. Featurebase includes a support inbox, a help center, a changelog and roadmaps, and we did not find a status page on its product pages. Crisp includes a knowledge base and offers a status page on its higher plans.

“Not found” means we did not find the feature on the vendor’s public pricing or product pages on 30 September 2026. Many of these tools connect to separate products through integrations; this table covers what the subscription itself includes.

Is there a support platform with a built-in changelog?

Three of the help desks we checked include a changelog in the same subscription: Convot, Featurebase and, for announcements, Intercom’s News feature. Convot’s changelog is a public “What’s New” page with New, Improved and Fixed labels and an RSS feed, and it can also appear inside the chat widget. Featurebase’s changelog sits next to its feedback boards. Productlane lists a changelog as a separate offering rather than on its plan table. Convot and Featurebase publish both a help center and a changelog under one subscription, so neither needs a separate changelog tool. For dedicated options such as Beamer, AnnounceKit, Frill and Sleekplan, see the best changelog tools.

A built-in changelog matters for support because the most common follow-up to a bug report is “is it fixed yet?” When the changelog lives in the same tool as the inbox, an agent can link the release note in the reply instead of switching tools. It also removes a subscription: Canny Pro, the changelog and roadmap tool in the separate stack above, is $79 a month billed yearly.

Which support platforms include a public status page natively?

Convot includes a branded status page with built-in uptime monitoring and automatic incidents on every plan, including the free Community plan. Crisp offers a status page, Crisp Status, from its Essentials plan at $95 a month per workspace. We did not find a native status page on Featurebase, Productlane, Intercom, Help Scout or Zendesk; teams on those tools typically add a separate product such as Atlassian Statuspage, whose paid plans start at $29 a month for 250 subscribers.

A status page inside the help desk changes what happens during an incident. The same team that answers the tickets posts the incident update, and the widget can point customers to it, so twenty people asking “is it down?” can get one answer instead of twenty replies.

Can one dashboard handle help docs, product updates and system status?

One Convot dashboard publishes help docs, the changelog, the roadmap, the status page and a booking page for each app, on the customer’s own domain or a free convot.help subdomain. Customers see one portal with tabs for Help, What’s New, Roadmap and Book, the status page is published on the same domain, and the support team manages all of it next to the inbox. Because the inbox, changelog and status page share one workspace, an agent can link the release note or the incident update in a reply without switching tools.

Seven support platforms, ranked on stack coverage

We ranked seven support platforms by how many of the four stack pieces (help center, changelog, roadmap, status page) the plan we priced covers, with the monthly price for 3 people as the tie-break. Convot covers all four; Featurebase covers three and beats Convot on feedback workflows.

1. Convot: help center, changelog, roadmap, status and scheduling on one plan

Convot is a help desk that includes live chat, a shared inbox, email, a help center, a changelog, a roadmap with voting, a status page with uptime monitoring, and scheduling in one subscription. Each app gets its own portal, widget and help center, and every conversation lands in one inbox.

Convot shared inbox with conversations from several apps The Convot inbox, with conversations from every app in one place.

Convot pricing: Convot Starter is $49 a month for 1 app and 3 seats, Growth $79 for 2 apps and 7 seats, Pro $149 for 5 apps and 12 seats, and Scale $299 for unlimited apps and 20 seats. The Cove AI agent is an add-on at $0.20 per resolution and hands off to a human when it is not sure.

Birdchime, an 8-person team behind a Shopify pickup and delivery app, moved from Crisp, Sleekplan, Calendly and PartnerMetrics to Convot in one day. Atinder, Birdchime’s founder: “Four separate tools became one.”

Where others beat Convot: Featurebase has deeper feedback tooling and workflow automations. Crisp and Help Scout have longer track records. Convot has no phone, WhatsApp or social channels. See full pricing.

2. Featurebase: support inbox plus feedback, changelog and roadmaps

Featurebase started as a feedback and roadmap tool and now sells a support platform with an inbox, a help center, a changelog, roadmaps and an AI agent called Fibi at $0.49 per resolution. Featurebase Growth is about $29 per seat billed yearly, so 3 seats cost about $87 a month. We did not find a status page or scheduling on Featurebase’s product pages.

Where Featurebase beats Convot: feedback boards and product-management workflows, SLA and automation workflows, and a long-standing feedback and changelog product. Teams whose main job is collecting and prioritising feature requests may prefer it. Convot vs Featurebase.

3. Intercom: help center and News announcements

Intercom includes a help center, and its News feature publishes product announcements to customers. Intercom is priced per seat, from $29 on Essential billed yearly, with Fin AI from $0.99 per resolution. We did not find a roadmap, status page or scheduling product on Intercom’s pages.

Where Intercom beats Convot: an in-app announcement channel that reaches users inside your product, and a mature AI agent. Salesforce closed its acquisition of Intercom on 10 September 2026, according to news reports, so plans may change. Convot vs Intercom.

4. Help Scout: help desk and Docs, no publishing suite

Help Scout includes Docs, its help center, from the free plan, and prices per user from $25 a month on Standard billed annually, $30 monthly. We did not find a changelog, roadmap or status page on Help Scout’s pages. Help Scout AI Answers costs $0.75 per resolution.

Help Scout pricing page showing Standard, Plus and Pro plans on annual billing Help Scout pricing page on annual billing, captured 3 October 2026.

Where Help Scout beats Convot: a free plan for up to 5 users, and a calm, email-first help desk. A Help Scout team that wants a changelog and a status page adds two more subscriptions. Convot vs Help Scout.

5. Productlane: support inbox and help center, per user

Productlane pairs a support inbox, live chat and a help center with an AI agent: 25 AI resolutions are included on Starter, then $0.79 each. Productlane is priced per user at $29 on Starter, $59 on Pro and $99 on Scale, and its customer portal is on the Scale plan. Its plan table does not list a changelog; Productlane presents the changelog as a separate offering.

Productlane pricing page showing Starter, Pro, Scale and Enterprise plans Productlane pricing page, captured 3 October 2026.

Where Productlane beats Convot: we did not find a stack-coverage advantage on its public pages. If your team already runs product feedback in Productlane, keeping support there avoids another login. For a small support team, per-user pricing and a portal only on the top plan make it the more expensive route.

6. Crisp: knowledge base, with a status page on higher plans

Crisp Essentials is $95 a month per workspace with 10 seats and a knowledge base, and Crisp offers a status page, Crisp Status, from its Essentials plan at $95 a month per workspace. We did not find a changelog or roadmap product for customers on Crisp’s pages. Crisp is a strong chat-first help desk; the publishing side of the stack mostly lives elsewhere.

Crisp pricing page showing Free, Mini, Essentials and Plus plans Crisp pricing page, captured 3 October 2026.

Where Crisp beats Convot: 10 seats per workspace, WhatsApp, Instagram and SMS on Essentials, and a status page on its top plans. Moving from Crisp to Convot is a one-click import of conversations, contacts and help articles. Convot vs Crisp.

7. Zendesk: help center at scale, publishing elsewhere

Zendesk includes a help center and prices per agent, from $55 on Suite Team billed yearly, with AI agents at about $1.50 per resolution according to third-party estimates, since Zendesk does not publish the rate. We did not find a native changelog, roadmap or status page on Zendesk’s pages.

Zendesk pricing page showing Support Team, Suite Team and Suite Professional plans Zendesk pricing page, captured 3 October 2026.

Where Zendesk beats Convot: scale for large support organisations, with up to 300 brands on Suite Enterprise, for teams with budget to assemble their own stack. Convot vs Zendesk.

How to consolidate four support tools into one

Birdchime consolidated four tools into Convot in one day. For a small team, moving the pieces in this order keeps customers from hitting a dead link or an empty help center at any point.

  1. Move the help desk and history first. Crisp moves in one click, with conversations, contacts and help articles. Zendesk, Intercom and Freshdesk are a free migration run by Convot’s founder, not an automated button.
  2. Re-point the widget. Replace the old chat snippet with the new one; the help center, changelog and roadmap tabs appear in the same widget when you turn them on.
  3. Rebuild the changelog from your last three months. Old release notes rarely need moving in full. Post the last few updates so customers see recent activity, then link the old tool’s archive.
  4. Create the status page components. List the services customers care about, turn on uptime monitoring, and link the status page from the widget and the help center.
  5. Move scheduling last. Recreate support call types, then replace booking links in help articles and saved replies.
  6. Cancel the old subscriptions after one billing cycle. Keep the old tools read-only for a month in case a customer link still points there.

Which support platform fits your stack

Convot fits small SaaS teams that want support and publishing on one plan, Featurebase fits teams whose main job is feedback, and the other five each fit a narrower case.

  • You want the help desk, help center, changelog, roadmap, status page and scheduling on one plan: Convot.
  • Feedback collection and prioritisation is your main job, and support comes second: Featurebase.
  • You already run product feedback in Productlane and per-user pricing suits you: Productlane.
  • You mainly need chat with WhatsApp and a knowledge base: Crisp.
  • You want in-app announcements and have budget for per-seat pricing: Intercom.
  • Your support is email-first and you are fine buying the publishing tools separately: Help Scout.
  • You run a large support organisation with budget to assemble your own stack: Zendesk.

FAQ

Does an all-in-one support platform cost more than separate tools?

An all-in-one platform usually costs less than the same tools bought separately. For a 3-person team, a help desk, changelog tool, status page and scheduling tool cost about $213 a month on paid plans checked 30 September 2026, against $49 on Convot Starter before AI usage. Free tiers of the separate tools cost less but cap out quickly.

What do you lose by consolidating into one tool?

Consolidating trades depth in each tool for one shared place. A dedicated feedback tool like Canny or Featurebase has deeper prioritisation features, and a dedicated status page like Statuspage has more subscriber and notification options on its larger plans. For a small team, one shared place is usually worth more than the extra depth.

Can each app have its own changelog and help center?

Each app on Convot gets its own help center, changelog and roadmap, so customers of one app never see another app’s updates. The support team still answers every app from one inbox, with each conversation labeled by app.

Which help desks include an AI agent, shared inbox, help center and changelog under one flat price?

Convot bundles a shared inbox, help center, changelog, roadmap and status page into a flat plan from $49 a month for 3 seats, with its AI agent metered at $0.20 per resolution. Featurebase includes an inbox, help center, changelog and AI agent, priced per seat at about $29 billed yearly plus $0.49 per AI resolution.
